When you make a purchase on Wayside, you will be emailed a receipt for your purchase.
You can quickly search for courses by using the search tool, which is located at the top of the home page beside the 'Sign Up' button. You can also access the search tool on the Courses page. Search results can be created by entering words related to the course and or subject into the search tool, then clicking enter.

Yes you can. Every course has a conversation forum that is dedicated to discussing course-related topics with enrolled members of the course. To join the conversation go to the course homepage - on the top left corner you will see ‘Conversations’. Click the button below ‘Conversations’ to enter the conversation forum for the course.

If you see content posted by others on the site that you feel should be removed, click ‘Flag Post’ to notify the group moderator to review the content. If your concern is not addressed, feel free to reach out to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Moderators are selected by the group leaders. They help bring the discussions to life and ensure group content follows the Community Guidelines. Course groups are moderated by the instructor(s). In some cases groups are moderated by Inspiring Communities staff.
To change your comment, select the "Edit" button directly under the comment. You can only edit your own comments. You can remove a comment by selecting the "Trash" button under that comment. You can only delete your own comments. Moderators can delete comments without prior notice or consent if they violate our Community Guidelines.

Yes, you can post images in group conversations. When creating a post, you’ll see an option to ‘Upload Attachments’. Click on ‘Choose file’ and upload any image file from your local computer.
You can receive email notifications about messages within a group but you’ll have to go to www.waysideinitiative.ca to respond and continue the conversation.
In the groups section of the platform you cannot send private messages to users. However, if your group is closed, your posts and comments will only be visible to the group's members. You can, however, send private messages to individuals through the social networking part of the site.
Login & Registration
To upload a profile picture. Click on the profile icon on the top right corner of the header. You can access this icon from any part of the website. The profile icon button takes you to your profile, then follow steps in this video: How to upload profile picture on Wayside
Wayside membership is free - you simply need to create a Username and Password to join conversations and explore resources. Course content may require registration fees, which are listed in the course information pages.
You can set up a new Wayside account using your email address. Click on the yellow "SIGN UP" button here and follow the instructions to create your profile. If you already have a Wayside account, click on the "Login" button on the home page and enter your email/username and password.
Go to the Wayside home page and click on 'Profile', then ‘Edit Profile’. Scroll down until you see ‘Membership Privacy’. Toggle if you would like your photo and name to be public. This is used to display a list of participating members of Wayside and data is not shared with any third-parties.
If you forgot your password and need a new one, click here and enter the email address associated with your Wayside account. We will send a link to that email address, which will enable you to create a new password for your account. If you do not receive the email we sent you, check your spam folder.
